Labouring weekend ahead for CB3 and crew

As if the past few weeks have not brought on enough for Chad and the crew, this next weekend will put the true meaning of labour to the test.

A few weeks ago, the Brachmann crew unloaded their regular saturday night small block to compete against many of the best that the northeast has to offer when the Advance Auto Parts Super Dirtcar Series rolled into Merrittville Speedway on August the 4th. The result was an astounding 8th place finish from the 21st starting spot and some rejouvination after three straight weeks of rain. Almost a week later, the despair of racing came to the forfront when a broken drive shaft left the team with a 24th place finish at the Lucas Oil Shootout at the Ohsweken Speedway, leaving the team 23 points behind Pete Bicknell for the series points lead. The pressure mounted, and when it was needed, CB3 swept the series at Humberstone Speedway the next week with his second win at the Port Colborne Ontario oval.

This past week, a trip to the Mohawk International Speedway saw the Original Pizza Logs number three start 20th, and remain one of the last eleven on the speedway in a field of 33 starters, after a fast race track left only one groove and a lot of room for wrecks. Chad would finish 16th, including a broken rear axel seal, but move to 4th in points with the trip not being made by fellow Ransomville regular Scott Kerwin. The next two nights would see CB3 come home second at the Ransomville Speedway and finish fourth after a last lap pass by Scott Wood at the Merrittville Speedway on saturday night...........

So, with that all said, and a long labouring weekend ahead, the Original Pizza Logs number three with attempt to tune up friday at the Ransomville Speedway, finally look for victory lane saturday at the Merrittville Speedway, make a journey to Cornwall for race number 4 of the 358 Modified Super Dirtcar Series and all with short time spans between the races. Saturday nights festivities at the Merrittville Speedway include Autograph Night, so bring a t shirt, photo, hat or anything else Chad can sign and make sure to stop by and say hi!!
