Super week ahead for CB3
Its finally here. This week is the week that every Western NY, and Southern Ontario dirt race team, fan, promoter, photographer and reporter look forward to each year, and it's a Super one.
This week the Brachmann crew tunes up for two Super DIRT Series races in a span of four days, at two completely different race tracks. While the Advance Auto Parts Big Block Tour stops at the Merrittville Speedway on Monday August the 4th, and is on the back of their minds, you would be hard pressed to find a team more focused on this fridays Alex Friesen Summer Nationals. This fridays race will be the second stop on the 358 Modified Tour that has CB3 sitting second in points after the opener April 25th, at the Thorold, ON speedplant over 3 months ago. Thats the good news. The not so good news that has to be on the teams mind right now, is that the team has struggled at the Big R this year, and even saw the Original Pizza Logs number 3 fail to qualify for the Advance Tour stop at the same track, less than a month ago when Chad cut down two front right tires, in both the heat and the consolation races.
CB3 currently has a hold on the points lead at Merrittville, and after some disappointing finishes this year still manages to be 6th in points at the Ransomville Speedway and share a lead in the Lucas Oil Shootout Series with 3 races remaining. This fridays race will see the modifieds run 68 laps for $6,800 to win, and should see some great racing. Remember, your local Dirt Track is where it's at, so make sure you get out and support CB3 on his race to victory lane, once again.
