Summer Solstice Brings a Longer Weekend

 This weekend has 3 of the longest days of the year, literally for the Original Pizza Logs number 3 team!

 Friday night the team looks to rebound to victory lane from an irregular 12th place finish last weekend. CB3 found himself in a tangle with hometown driver Rich Vinson during last weeks feature, and looks to keep the locals behind him this week, as they also turn up the heat to keep him behind. Chad is looking for his first points title in the 358 division at the Big R and is more determined than ever to achieve it in 2008.

 Saturday brings another trip west to the Merrittville Speedway and the team looks to gain just one more position than the average, and last weeks second place. It was on lap 33 of last weeks feature that CB3 took the lead from former sportsman veteran George Bosse, in hopes of winning his first feature of the year at the Thorold speedplant. It was to no avail, as a speedy Scott Wood stuck to the bottom and rocketed past the pizza logger for the win. CB3 would finish in the runner up spot followed by "The Boss" Bosse, who reluctantly, had his best finish of the season.

 Sunday will bring the best of the 358 Modifieds to the Humberstone Speedway in Port Colborne, Ontario for the third installment of the Lucas Oil Shootout, presented by Dirt Track Digest. As many of these drivers converge on neutral ground, Chad looks to hold on to his points lead, that he currently shares with Mr Small Block, Pete Bicknell.

 Where ever you live, who ever you are, you dont want to miss one of the longest and hottest weekends of the summer in what is shaping up to be the "Wild...........Wild West" on dirt.
