Weather man brings the heat, so does CB3!

On what mony of us would call the hottest weekend of the year so far, Chad Brachmann decided to bring a little of his own heat and make some of his adversaries sweat a bit.

Friday night at the Ransomville Speedway, team Brachmann unveiled the latest of their stable of Original Pizza Logs cars, with an freshly painted and lettered yellow, black and blue racer, colors which he wishes his opponents will wear when he is done with them after this 2008 season. Once again, CB3 found another setup to be right on, coming out of the box. Chad would start 5th for the feature that he would eventually win by a good 20 car lengths on his way to his first win of the season. The win now vaulted Chad to a tie for third in Ransomville points with Jeff McGinnis and Pete Bicknell. He trails the leader Todd Burley, by a mere 16.

Saturday night at the Merrittville Speedway, Chad put on another "thrilla" as the kids call it, when he sliced and diced lap traffic again this week to finish in the runner up spot, a mere half a car length behind Tim Jones and his 15J machine. On a warm Autograph Night, Clinton Jeffery interviewed CB3, specifically questioning his tire choice for the feature after DIRT and Hoosier released the new 200 soft tire compound earlier in the week. Chad replied with "we'll have to wait and see how the track looks" and was not really sold on their performance. Chad would indeed run the soft compound and bring the Original Pizza Logs number 3 home in second position. As far as points, he trailed Brian Stevens by only eight going into the night, and Mr. Stevens had to retire early with problems of his own. With Bicknell finishing sixth and Scott Wood well back in the pack, we will have a new points leader. His name, is Chad Brachmann.

Speaking of points, Chad is also the co-leader of the Lucas Oil Shootout after 2 events in 2008, and second in Regional points for the 358 West Region of Dirtcar. He trails Bicknell, by only 30.
